BEACH TRIP

WHO IS THIS BUNCH OF CRAZY'S Surprise, Surprise, Surprise we went to Rocky Point, Mexico again. We cant ever get enough of the beach. We spent the last four day's playing at the beach, to get some more quality time with our kids before the busy, hectic school year starts again. (Can you believe Aug 4th they start school again) It was so much fun. We love the sun and fun. The resort offered lots of activities for us to participate in. This time "Water Polo" was one of the activities. Lots of Fun. Here is a team picture and some action pictures of Josh & Jordan the first day, they won!! Sorry Taylor, he was on the team without any "defense". Day two was a different story!!! Paul, Steve, Josh, Jordan, Taylor, Zach, Cody all decided to play. Just a recreational fun game? Right? Wrong!! It was war, but definitly funny to watch, maybe it was just the swim caps that are funny! This game was soooo close 21 - 19. Taylor and Josh were a 2 man team. Then there was the "Mexican Lottery" kinda like bingo but with pictures not numbers. Aspen tried hard to win a "Las Palomas" t-shirt. Just couldnt pull it off.

BINGO was alot of fun also, our pool side spokesman was so funny. All of us tried our hand at bingo, but "Mr. Baywatch" (Paul) nicknamed came from our host. Took second place winning a very special package of "Las Palomas inscents". Way to go BW!

The highlight of the activities was watching our very own teenagers in a wrestling contest to see who was the meanest, badest, ugliest. No joking, the host got Derek, Cody, Zach & Josh to put wrestling masks on!! Then hid them behind the wall and would announce them one at a time. Each one would come running out flexing their muscles, talking smack, and trying to convence everyone in the pool to clap louder for them. Our very own "shy" son Zach took first place. Winning a shinny new powder blue t-shirt! (The picture are coming from another camera later)

Abby decided this trip she was not using "floaties". Here is a video of her swimming. Yes to those of you who have witnessed Abby near water before, yes this is her swimming, with her face in the water!!

She also never leaves home without a baby. I think she also taught her baby to swim.

Our hotel was wonderful, our favorite. So all in all the family had a very relaxing trip. So hard to come home to the heat, and hustle and bustle of life!!!

KIDS SAY THE CUTEST THINGS

I just love the cute things kids say!

Abby came in to me and asked if I could hold her baby while she made her a crib.

Of course I said yes. Then she asked

"Do you know how to hold the back of her head and pat her on the bumbum"?

So my reply was maybe you should show me how. This is what she looked like!!!

This is the crib she made her baby while I patted her baby's bum bum correctly!!!
I guess she has no idea I have successfully made it through 5 "Newborns". I'll let you know if I successful get them raised. haha

ArIzOnA MoNsOOOOn'S

Here at the Andrus house, we LOVE rain!!! Yesterday was the greatest. A summer monsoon storm rolled in out of no where and boy did it bring the rain, and rain, and more rain. The minute anyone in the family hears the rain start they yell to the rest of us to come running. This is what it looked like out of the front door.

Ofcourse the kids went running out into the rain......

Even the horses thought this rain stuff was great fun. They were hilarious, pawing at the puddles, even laying down and rolling around......

I dont think Jerry (the donkey) liked the rain as much as us. He just hung his head, and endured to the end......

We are truly greatful for the small stuff these days!!! Any thing to add a little excitement, and get us out of the house.......

4TH OF JULY CAMPOUT

Our family went to Forest Lakes for the 4th of July holiday. The weather was beautiful, days were low 80's and the nights were cool 50's. I promise we had to use heaters in our tents. It was wonderful. I had forgot what cool weather was like!! Alexa & Aspen invited their cousins Payton & Sydney to keep them from killing each other!!! (That is the faze they are in now) They had so much fun together. Our first morning since the kids thought daylight ment time to "wake-up" they made breakfast. They did a fabulous job, Eggs, Bacon, Hashbrowns, Pancakes. YUMMY.
Minus one helper, this is what Zach calls helping out!!!
Then we made our way over to Canyon Creek to do a little fishing (this is Steve's version of a little fishing) "No pun intended". The girls loved playing in the creek. The water was freezing, but felt great on your feet.
We also brought along Mamau & Papau to guide the way. This is as far as they wandered. When we got ready to go Huck Finn 1 & 2 were missing. Suprise...Suprise...This is the only picture I got of them heading off. All in All we had fun, played games, took naps exactly what a vacation should be. Thank goodness for cousins who helped them have fun & stayed out of our hair, well most of the time.haha
