BAYLEE'S CAR ACCIDENT

I have never recieved a phone call that scared me more than the one I got yesterday. My mom called to tell me my niece Baylee who was the first grandchild born into our family (she was sneekie and got here 5 days before Zach), had been in a car accident on her way to school in Casa Grande and was being "AIREVAC" to Maricopa Medical Center Trama Unit. That's it, that's all the info we got. So I went into panic mode, trying to hurry to meet my mom & go to the hospital. Then I realized I had no baby sitters!!! How does that happen when I have 3 that live with me. AHHHHH So Grandma Juanita came to the rescue, and I dropped off the Abby & Aspen and my mom pick me up, for a crazy ride to the hospital. Me nor my mom had been to this hospital before nor new exactly where it was. Soooo a few wrong turns and we finally found it. By then my sister had called with a little more info. She had gotten to the crash seen before the airevac, and new she was awake and a little responsive but had alot of blood coming from her face. As we got into the "ER" the Dr was there and telling us she was lucky, just a concussion, broken nose, 3 inch laseration across the top of her chin that goes clean through to the inside of her mouth, broken rib that also punctured her spleen! WHOOOOOO!!! Yes she is very lucky. But really that is alot to deal with then all the pain she is going through just from the force of her face smashing into the steering wheel, and the impact of the accident. So we spent the entire day at the hospital. Today we went back with the kids to visit and keep her spirits up. She si doing really well. The major complication is trying to eat and drink with a lip bigger than Angelia Jolie's the swelling is so severe that it has cracked her lip in 4 places. Nor can she open her mouth or talk very well, and they want her eating and drinking before she goes home!!! But if that is the least of our worries, I'll take it. If your a little squeemish this picture of her face is yuckie!! We love you Baylee and our family is continually praying for your recovery.

CAMP LO MIA
Guess who was the Caper's leader again??? You guessed it ME. I am so greatful for girls camp. Loved it when I was a girl, and love it even more as an adult. When else can you get the opportunity to feel the spirit all day and for an entire week. The theme this year was "Light the World", the song they chose was beautiful. It made up for all the crazy songs we had to sing all day long for our food. The programs committee did a fabulous job entertaining us all week, with game shows, skits, and super spiritual firesides. We also had alot of fun. Alexa got to go to camp for the first time this year. Here she is getting her certification.
I also got a new friend. Anyone recongnize this face. Maybe her, but definitly not the make-up
Rachelle (Noble) Gibson also convinced me to wake up at 4:45am to do the "Zip Line" with her!! What a blast. But for those of you who know me, when do I ever get up before noon to do anything. The whip lash was worth it!!!
OMG!!! Look at this picture. On one of my runs to Walmart in Payson, this little doe jumped out right infront of the truck as I pulled into camp. It was the cutest thing.
Bishop Andrus scored a few brownie points with the girls by showing is finger nail polishing SKILLS. Its true, he does a mean french manicure. Who new. Way to connect with the girls dear. My bishop does ROCK!!!
Look at these cute crafts. These boards have magnets on them for the girls to put their favorite things on, and always remember to light the world with their friendship to others.
Season's Over
The Sun Devils Softball team played their last game on Monday. Of course they won. Okay I'm alot biased, but hey Alexa is fabulous I'm not afraid to say it. This being her first year to play ball, she was our shining star. From homerun's, to double plays, and team spirit. I am so proud of her trying something new and having fun, she learned this all from the best coach ever (thanks uncle paul)!!!!
High Adventure Activity
Our scouts came to Rocky Point, to do a service project for the church. We had about 8 scouts and 6 adults from the ward come down and meet us after vacation. I was so greatful for Brooke & Adrianne for coming to help!!! I couldn't have made all that food all week with out them.
The boys spent the whole day drywalling a house for Habitat for Humanity. From what I hear it was a huge job and they did a great job. At least from the chalk from head to toe, they looked like they worked hard, or hardly worked I'm not sure.
I am sure they had a great time, from beach football, to horseshoes and swimming (their sun burns show they played outside alot)sorry mom's for that. We also went to church on sunday to the Rocky Point Branch. It is so refreshing to know that the church is the same everywhere. Maybe we couldn't understand the spoken word, but we can still feel the spirit and testimonies of the members. All in all it was a great trip!!
MEMORIAL DAY PARTY
This year, Mom & Russ have a new home and invited us over for a BBQ. We had alot of yummy food. Why not play baseball in the dirt before the sod grass got delivered. Just a friendly game to entertain the kids right??? Wrong, I think the dad's thought it was the World Series.
Look how cute Abby & Ella are. The were just testing out all the new stuff Mamau & Papau have added to the house. Just making sure it is fun worthy additions to the backyard.
ROCKY POINT 2008
We spent another fabulous week with our families and friends in old Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Who couldn't love this place. Fun, Families, Friends, Food and the Beach.
This Sand Castle was so fun to watch being built. This is the reason we spend so much time here. Just to see our kids playing together, older kids down to the little one's. They really do like each other.
Look who decided she wanted her picture taken after all. I think the camera was full of Abby posing for pictures. FINALLY!!!
During family prayers one evening, (Joshua's turn) he asked for good waves. I guess we pray for diffrent things of importance. Boy did he get his request. We woke up one morning to a wind storm that pushed the tide as far up as I have ever seen it come. White cap waves, the whole works. So they all hit the beach with boogie boards, tubes, fins the works. They got chewed up and spit out the minute they got in. It was really funny for all of us chickens to watch!
Alexa had a very eventfull week also. One day on a trip to town for some yummy food and shopping we thought she got car sick. Nope, she had a crazy flu bug, with a migraine headache to top it off. Here she is sleeping it off, and then she shared the bug with the rest of the group who have continued to pass it along even since we have come home. Six of them down, 34 to go. But she recouperated and had the annual skim board ride from her dad. Here are some of my favorite pictures of the trip.
