Oh my gosh, my worst nightmare came true today. I lost Abby in "kohl's"! This is how it went down. My mom and I were looking for luggage for her trip. Abby was next to me just hanging out. Then poof she was gone. I walked around the luggage rack looking for her, no Abby! I went down the isle, no Abby! Panic started to set in quick, I told the cashier that she was missing, which she called for a code yellow. Which was obviously a lost child code, then I just started running laps around the store call her name. The store employees started combing the store by two's. Finally, after about 8 minutes (I was watching the clock) a friend that works at the store came running saying they had found her!! The minute I rounded the corner and saw her with my mom the tears started to flow. I picked her up hugging her as tightly as possible asking her where she was. Her reply was so innocent, "I was hiding". I then asked her if she heard me calling her, but I was crying so hard she kept saying mommy why are you crying? All I could say was I love you soooo much and DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!! I think I scared her as much as she scared me, because she just kept her head on my shoulder, hugging my neck and rubbing my back. Just retelling this story brings tears to my eyes. I cant imagine really loosing a child. After we got home, I just wanted pictures of my sweetheart and do you think I could get any????NO. This is all I got, and I am greatful for them.
